Summer Reading - Are we doing it wrong?
I'm currently reading For Whom the Bell Tolls, which covers many deep and difficult topics, and I am struggling to pick it back up even though I am engrossed. This got me thinking about how we choose our seasonal reading.
Usually as we go through the long dark of winter in our region, I gravitate toward books that require less emotional work from me. Often I focus on non-fiction. If I reread a book, it would be at this time of year.
How about you? What are you reading now, and does the season affect your choices? Let me know in the comments!
But usually as I get into the long dark of winter, I gravitate toward books that don't demand as much from me, emotionally. Often I focus on non-fiction. If I reread a book, it is most likely to be in this season.
